These terms and conditions govern the reservation of scientific workshops offered by the Scienscope at the University of Geneva. By making a reservation, the teacher or group leader accepts these conditions without reservation.
Workshops are intended for school classes (ages 4 to 19) and supervised groups. Reservations are made by a teacher or group leader who commits to accompanying the students throughout the entire workshop.
A minimum of one adult chaperone per group is required. Scienscope reserves the right to refuse access if the number of chaperones is insufficient.
Standard workshops offered by Scienscope are entirely free as part of the University of Geneva's public service mission.
Birthday workshops are also free of charge.
Reservations are made exclusively through the online platform. Each reservation is subject to confirmation by Scienscope based on availability.
The teacher commits to providing accurate information during the reservation, including the number of students, their age, and the school name.
Any cancellation must be reported as early as possible through the platform. In case of repeated late cancellations (less than 48 hours before the workshop), Scienscope reserves the right to limit future reservations.
Modifications (number of students, schedule) must be communicated at least 48 hours before the workshop date.
Teachers and chaperones are responsible for student behavior throughout the entire visit. Scienscope provides the necessary materials for the workshop.
In case of intentional material damage, the school may be held liable.
Birthday workshops are offered free of charge. The reservation requires the child's first name and age for workshop personalization.
The workshop duration (60 or 90 minutes) is chosen during the reservation. A reception room may be available upon request, subject to availability.
Personal data collected during the reservation is processed in accordance with LIPAD (A 2 08). For more information, please consult our data protection policy.
Scienscope accepts no liability in case of force majeure preventing a workshop from taking place (equipment failure, severe weather, mediator illness). In such cases, a replacement date will be offered where possible.
The University of Geneva is insured for civil liability for activities taking place on its premises.
These conditions are governed by Swiss law. In case of dispute, the courts of the Canton of Geneva shall have jurisdiction.
